Congratulations to the Looking After You team at NHS England and NHS Improvement on winning the 2021 HSJ Workforce Initiative of the Year. Coaching on Call have been integral to the delivery of the programme by providing our Coaching Management System to drive the booking process, supporting the coaches and providing the data to facilitate the evaluation of the outcomes.
This has been an amazing programme, initially driven by the need to support GPs and other Primary Care staff during the pandemic, launched in under a month, and that has continually built on its success to provide new offerings for teams and careers.
We have now delivered over 10,000 coaching sessions in just 13 months, and the independent evaluation shows clear benefits to the wellbeing and resilience of its participants. This was the type of service we envisaged when we created Coaching on Call in 2006, and it is heartwarmng to see how well the model delivers in the right context.
